Job Description:

We are seeking candidates for a Senior Accountant position. We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our company. We offer opportunities for advancement for the right candidate and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

·        Perform general bookkeeping tasks such as verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, monitoring accounts receivable, and directing accounts payable.

·        Posting monthly journal entries, including, but not limited to prepaid, intercompany, and accruals. 

·        Support month, quarter, and year-end close processes, including, but not limited to:

o   Perform monthly bank, credit card, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.

o   Perform trailing profit and loss reviews.

o   Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statement of cash flows.

o   Prepare monthly budget-to-actual and forecast reports.

o   Prepare annual operating budgets

o   Prepare quarterly lender required covenant compliance certificates.

o   Prepare and monitor other monthly financial and operational analyses reports.

o   Coordinate, assist and manage annual audit and tax return preparations.

·        Maintain, review, and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

·        Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.

·        Ongoing correspondence with regulatory and state agencies regarding compliance, formation, assembling information, etc.

·        Assist in third-party specialist coordination.

·        Regularly update & maintain communication with vendors, service providers, brokers, title, lender, counsel, investors, etc.

·        Assist with other related ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s or other advanced degree in accounting required.

·        CPA eligible with proof of progress towards certification (e.g. required hours met, exam parts taken, scheduled, or passed), at a minimum.

·        3+ years of accounting experience required. Financial services experience preferred.

·        Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·        Microsoft Excel proficiency is required.

·        High degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail.

·        Strong analytical skills.

·        Proactively communicates with colleagues on status and issues.

·        Keen organizational and record-keeping skills.

·        Strong verbal communication skills, business writing proficiency, and data entry skills.

·        Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

·        Comfortable handling confidential information.

Compensation:  Starting at $75,000 with health benefits.

Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Description: 

We are seeking candidates for a Part-Time Bookkeeper position. Approximately 20-30 hours per week. This person will combine day-to-day bookkeeping while also assisting with general office administration responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

·        Perform general bookkeeping tasks such as monitoring accounts receivable, directing accounts payable, and budget tracking.

·        Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and performing general ledger reconciliations.

·        Support company operations by maintaining office systems.

·        Assist with basic HR functions including payroll coordination, new hire documentation, compliance, etc.

·        Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos, resumes, and presentations.

·        Coordinating and managing appointments, meetings, and travel schedules in order to prevent duplicate bookings.

·        Maintaining general office files, including job files, vendor files, and other files related to the company’s operations.

·        Purchasing office supplies, equipment, and furniture.

·        Ongoing correspondence with regulatory and state agencies regarding compliance, formation, assembling information, etc.

·        Assist in third-party specialist coordination

·        Regularly update & maintain communication with vendors, service providers, brokers, title, lender, counsel, investors, etc.

·        Assist with data entry and other related ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

·        Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent business experience

·        Relevant knowledge and experience in bookkeeping and/or office administration experience

·        Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel proficiency is required

·        High degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail

·        Proactively communicates with colleagues on status and issues

·        Keen organizational and record-keeping skills

·        Strong verbal communication skills, business writing proficiency, and data entry skills

·        Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

·        Comfortable handling confidential information

·        Desire to be a part of a small, entrepreneurial, energetic investment team, which includes an intense work environment, innovative, flexible corporate culture, and social team events

Compensation: Starting at $24.00/hr, depending on experience.

Location: Remote position. Expected to come into office approximately 1x per month. Expected to work during ordinary business hours Monday – Friday. Can be flexible within those parameters.
